Brent and Laura Erenwert didn’t just find their way into the produce industry—they were shaped by it. Brent was raised in one of the largest distribution companies in Texas and the Southeast, where he worked his way up to CEO. Along the way, he gained hands-on expertise across every facet of the operation—from procurement and logistics to cold storage, food safety, and marketing. Laura was there through it all, growing with the business, navigating the highs and lows, and playing a key role in building a culture rooted in service, quality, and lasting relationships.

Instead of stepping away from the industry they loved, they leaned into their values and stepped into something new, something that could continue the legacy, serve others, and leave a lasting impact. That “something” became Peddlers Roots.
